Just got a MSI Neo4 Plat... wheres the soundblaster?

This board is advertised as having a 24bit creative soundblaster integrated on the mobo.. I don't see a chip anywhere and the driver on the install CD is for the realtek ALC850... whats going on? False advertising? Did only the early boards ship with the sound blaster chip or what? (I've got the v1.0 PCB too, not the newer v3.0).

The review on the [H] even states it has a integrated soundblaster....

Get in touch with MSI and the retailer and see what they have to say.
If it is false advertising I am sure you can get your money back.

I don't really care... I'm sure the ALC850 will do the job fine. Just wondering what the deal was

The review on the [H] even states it has a integrated soundblaster....

[H] is confused (or perhaps wording the review poorly). The K8N SLI Platinum has the Creative chip while the K8N Neo4 Platinum does not.

The MSI website has it listed as :

• 7.1 channel audio codec RealTek ALC850

So it looks like [H] and your retailer are wrong.
