Is the Internet an addiction?

Ive gone without it for a week or so a few times over the past few years & I miss it like for half a day & then no more. Not as bad an addiction as coffee or alcohol etc
Funny thing is once I get back on it (in fact I sort of dread going back on it), its like ho hum (nothing much has changed, well obviously)

I gotta admit, after returning from a 10-day vacation in Florida with no internet access at all, I really didn't miss it that much. I don't post on forums as much as I used to (died the GPU wars have for me), I'm not into PC hardware like I once was (the magic of building your own computers and making them run has long faded. . .nothing like doing hardware reviews for years to burn that thrill away), and I could get the news via the old-fashioned means of TV and newspapers.

Gaming, however, that I did miss.

NOT a manual typewriter though.
I have the one (in mint condition) that my Dad used in Law School back in the 50s and that I used in high school (in the 80s) :)
