Is a new Daytona still in the works for Xbox?

Last year there were several rumors and/or reports about the next Daytona game from SEGA. most notably, by the Stinger Report.
various names like "Daytona USA 3" or
"Daytona USA 2003" and "Daytona Live" have been used. Daytona Live
was ment to be the XBox version of the forthcoming(?) arcade game.

both the arcade and the home version were ment to be in development
by Amusement Vision, but then supposedly handed off to Yu Suzuki and crew.

Now I wonder if Sega is actually developing those games, or perhaps have fallen victim to project cuts. Any info/update on the status as of January 2003 would be most appreciated! 8)

Now that would be great! Daytonaaaaaaaaaaaaa... (dont know the rest of the words sounds something like, 'dont let go of the speed').

A new Sega Rally would be good too as Sega Rally 2 was not as good as the first one IMO.

Maybe a Daytona is in the works for the PS2.

Yeah AV Daytona team is busy on the GCN and arcade versions of F Zero. So if there is a Daytona in development it's not the original team. And you know how Sega is about thier internal teams.
