MicroTechXP has learned through our sources that Intel is going to release Quad-Core's in either in early 2007 or middle 2007. Don't worry don't think that your Dual-Core CPU will be or is already outdated

The new chip, code-named Clovertown, will include four processing cores to process data more quickly and run multiple application processes simultaneously, all while using less power than a single-core design or dual-core design.

The new chip will join Intel's line of server chips which have proven to be a lucrative business for the world's largest chip maker, generating billions in revenue. However, the business has recently come under pressure from Sunnyvale, Calif.-based AMD, which has entered the server market with its own line of chips called Opteron.

Intel will release the chips, which will be manufacturered on a 65-nanometer processes, in early 2007 or even middle 2007, possibly starting revenue shipments as early as late 2006.

Don't worry don't think that your Dual-Core CPU will be or is already outdated. These new chips will be going first out to servers and then latter on it might come out for the regular PC user. For now you don't have to worry about anything because first of all it is not released yet and second it is going to out for the server line before any other activity becomes.
