You are to assault (alone) a submarine? harbor/base. At least, once you've infiltrated, killed everyone, and gotten to the other side, you're on a pier with a submarine docked along the left side. and i think you enter the sub to end the level.

Im not sure if when you come up on the level, you are starting a level, or you had to fight your way there. but the end of level im pretty certain of.

It's a modern weapon, combat game, and there may be gadgets, special abilities and such (invisibility? or nightvision?).

There may be vehicles in the game, but i remember the sub base/harbor entrance being blocked with not only a gate, but i think some concrete barricades, so if you had a vehicle, you couldn't get it in there on this level. no vehicles available inside (not driveable anyway)

there is a fence surrounding the base and a gate at the entrance...like the slab gate that rises from a pivot point (not like a fence gate, or doorway).

Once in the base, there are several large warehouse like buildings, with stairs inside, maybe outside to on some of them. stacks of freight are around outside as well, maybe cranes (typical freightyard look i guess) . perhaps some smaller (1 story buildings around the outer perimeter of one side, and of course a pier, with a couple (or 3) baddies...invisible? or fog?) that is your ultimate destination.

I think it's evening? time, not night, but not brightly lit. maybe cloudy?

Most buildings have some baddies, as well as baddies patrolling around in small groups (3-5?).

I think you may be looking for a person. a military officer? a colonel? traitor?

i don't remember what happened before this level or after.

im just trying to remember the game, and so far, my google efforts have proved fruitless. plus scanning some FAQS on gamefaqs.com for submarine.

apparently it's not farcry, fear, crysys, but those games are similar in weapons available i think (sniper, machine guns, rocket launcher, grenades, etc). i think stealth is important for this level. and you have some gadgets to help with that.

anyone remember the game? thanks either way.

Nope not chaser. (I have that, haven't played in a while). Thanks for the screenshot though, it confirms it. it's not modern or alien, just a contemporary sub/ship base/harbor. i say contemporary because the sub, i remember, was more like the modern nuclear sub.

Not COD either i think, cause you have no squad mates.

I think the game is a more recent game than chaser.

No not a nazi base, not WW2. Oh i forgot to say, if you want, you can wander around the base freely after you wack everybody, you don't HAVE to enter the submarine right after to end the level.

Almost sounds like that mission in Splinter Cell : Pandora Tomorrow, to me. You have to infiltrate a submarine in conditions much like you've described, and take out some Colonel or whatever.

*edit* Now that I think about it, no, that's almost certainly not what you're after.

It's what came immediately to mind to me, but indeed, it probably isn't that.

Almost certainly not Deus Ex. The naval shipyard map didn't actually have a submarine - or patrolmen in groups of 3-5.

It could also be one of the first levels in Crysis Warhead with a ToD modification!...

[strike]But then he wouldn't ask as he would synchronise it with 'mindblowing graphics'![/strike]

Actually it sounds almost 1:1 to the Warhead second missions level at the end of the level. Harbour, baddies in most buildings, stealth, modern weapons, cant drive in becouse of road blocks, submarine to the left at pier which is entered to end mission, youre after an alien entity.

Otherwise how about Project IGI 1/2?
