Prolly a perfect copy of Quake 2 but on the new Doom 3 engine.

EDIT: I dont remember who .. but someone at ID said this .. Personaly i dont think it's a good idea .. cause Quake 2 wasnt the greatest one.

Maybe they'll make an RPG using a brand-new engnie.

That would be so unbelievably sexy. Then I could mod it and make Crono Trigger 2. :D

Well when they did doom3 some wanted to do an rpg, and they have had that tendency for quite awhile so they might do it, but as others have said they are trapped by their success.

The part I liked was possibly a mater of days... comon release doom3 :)

But I read it wrong it says short order, and a matter of days after it is done, but that doesn't mean it will be done in a matter of days just short order ...

Oh don't be a whiner, the way they handled button / input screens is actually so much better than a lame keybind.
Me, I'd love to see a Q2 remake as long as a) we get it in 2005 (doable) b) they don't want full price for it (20 bucks is fine).

A FPFG (First Person Football Game).
    A FPSG (FP Snowboarding Game)

Those guys don't seem to be smart enough to make anything that is not First Freaking Person.

They did tout this idea but have dropped it:

Besides, a remake of Quake II hardly fits with the announcement saying, 'NOT a "Doom," "Quake" or "Wolfenstein" game'

It will be a First Person Sex Simulation Game, making use of all the nice dynamic lights/shadow effects. Besides they will use some of the monster models from Doom III as NPCs.

They announced this a long, long time ago I believe.

Doom III was confirmed, Quake IV was announced, and 1 or 2 other titles (this one among them) were announced. Will it be first-person? Surprisingly, I doubt it. Raven is working on Q4 and id already defined the FPS genre in several ways over the past 12 years.. why continue to linger after doing almost everything that you can do with a FPS? (besides include a cohesive storyline, ala Half-Life, among other things)

I just see them trying something different. Maybe an RPG, perhaps a space shooter.. or maybe a big hybrid-genre epic..

Todd Hollenshead said that the game in question was new intellectual property, and was not a "Doom," "Quake" or "Wolfenstein" game.
