The numbers in the "CPU" benchmarks are actually quite nice considering the power consumption, but it's another design based on the misguided notion of integration for the sake of it.

Sometimes workloads really are distinctly different under typical conditions, and it can pay to specialize toward that. I certainly don't see that new architecture scaling to competitive overall graphics performance without adding some specialized assistance, at least not at foreseeable scales of processor performance.
 
Yea the problem is if you have the amount of cpu performance that you need, and all you want is a slab of gpu then you need to buy more cpu die space that you dont want, in stead of dedicating all resorces in that direction.

Yea it would need a totally different world, every piece of software would work differently to now.
