I need a new cordless phone.

My wife picked up a cheapy at CVS since our old one was dying, but it sucks and we both told each other how much we hate it last night so I'm now in the market.

My friend MauiMom from over at EB just PMed me a link to this one at Amazon because she "knows how much I like blinky light thingies".

And I gotta admit I'm almost tempted to pick up these because their online store swears they got 'em in stock at two of me local BestBuys:

At less than a dollar, what are you asking us for? Anyways: If you're going to spend more than $1, then the Siemens Gigaset line are, IMNSHO, the best cordless phones around (allthough I don't know if they are widely available, at least under the Siemens brand name, in the US).

My experienses in general: The cheapest ones are nothing but junk, and in you want the features of the top models you're better off ditching the landline alltogether and get a Symbian/MS cellphone (if GSM (or even better '3G' UMTS) is available where you live).
