Seriously the guy popped out of nowhere and starts helping people and giving sound advice.

popped out from nowhere? if it's the nick that i know, then he popped out years ago, and was right from the start very helpful, yes. (and if it's the one i know, then he is as helpful in a lot of other forums, too)
