I don't think it's gonna go a whole lot higher, threads tend to die under the weight of themselves after a while and 33 pages is a lot.

I think beyond3d needs to switch it's forums to slashcode, you can seriously reduce some noise in those thanks to sub-threading and scoring. Plus well known members modding would be slick. Not to mention it can handle much higher loads, phpbb is a bit of a joke in this regard.
