Drawback to a hardware platform I guess. We're on the verge of in-home 3D HDTV technology yet we're stuck with 5 year old sub-HD gaming. I understand why it is this way, but I just don't like it.

Sub HD? Since when was 720P sub HD?

Also being on the verge of in home 3D HDTV is like saying that in 2005 we were on the verge of Blu Ray content. It will take until at least 2013 for 3D sets to become popular enough and even then there will still be a lot of room for improvement in the 3D image quality. Im sure the current HDTV adopters want at least 5 years out of their current sets.

Well don't know about other countries, but around here HDTV is still considered luxury, and quite a few are happy if they own regular TV lol
