How many console games have you bought this gen?

I just collected all my games I bought this gen to get an overview and was surpised and a bit shocked about the number. So I wonder how many games you guys bought this gen?

For Xbox360, I bought:

25 retail (disc) games
2 games from the Xbox store
1 additional retail game is planned (the new Gears of War)

For PS3, I bought:

41 retail (disc) games
3 games from PSN store
3 additional retail games are planned (Beyond, Last of Us, God of War Ascension)

I do not have an overview of all the DLC I bought in addition, must be a lot as I like DLC
As I never sell my games, all of them are here right in front of me. All of those games are directly bought at release, most at day one. I do not want to cry, so I do not calculate the accumulated costs

I bought both consoles at their Euro release, day one. This makes (if I remember correctly) 7 years for the Xbox or 3.57 retail games per year in average. For the PS3 this makes 6 years or 6.83 retail games in average.

So, fellow B3D members...what are your numbers?

My xbox360 retail game collection is at this moment 230 games strong
And shows no sign of slowing down.
I think half the collection is still in its original shrink wrap, so if real life things too do slows down, I still have some "fresh" games to fall back on ;-)

I still have a lot of SNES, PS1, PS2, original Xbox and gamecube games i have to buy..

And i still can't forget about my Wii U catalog. I bought a Wii U specifically to start a Wii collection as i never had a Wii, and start my Wii U collection at the same time. Its just cheaper than buying a Wii and a Wii U you know? Glad Nintendo had the sense to put in hardware BC.

38 retail games, all for PS3, as far as I can remember. My gaming has significantly slowed down lately, though. I think I only bought 3 games all of last year.

For PS3, 32 titles.
Only purchases for consoles are exclusives, since I can't get them on PC. All other multiplatform titles, I play on a PC, since I do care about eye candy. Only multiplatform title I got is Black Ops 2 for PS3, because my friends play that on PS3.

Yeah, it is crazy how many games some of you have on consoles. I switched two years ago to PC gaming again and buy all multiplatform games on PC if possible, so consoles are mainly for the exclusives...

Who said anything about beating or even having played all these games? definitely not me, my backlog is HUGE and I'll be busy with my PS3, 360 and Wii for at least 2 years ahead.

As far as next gen systems go Wii U has me covered for Wii games but I hope that both Sony and MS also don't abandon backwards compatibility for their next systems.
