There was a rule in place back before the tracker became "mainstream" that mentioning it outside of the site was terms for a ban.

They once experimented with a homepage that had a hidden login link. In the end such measures are silly as knowledge of any good filesharing site will get around.

Actually speeds are fast on the private tracker where ratio is enforced. If you're thinking in terms of the massive size of raw HDTV caps and HD DVD/Blu-ray movie rips the movies are recompressed to DVD5 size in 720p x264 format.
