I'd rather play games on a 50" 720p TV than a 30" 2560x1600 LCD. And I'm not talking about a console here.

I really think the sweet spot is 6870 or even 5870 right now. They are only around $250. NV's commanding a serious premium. But yeah if a person really needs to push something nuts like 2560x1600 then I suppose that's what one might want to pay for.

Of course, the real question is: what be 6970? Although I doubt it will affect pricing of current stuff much (if at all).

    I'd rather have 2560x1600 rendered image downscaled (SSAA) to a 50" 1080p TV :)

BTW, I realized in my previous post that I forgot about the GTX 460 which is a great value right now too I think.

Absolutely. I'm using SGSSAA on everything I possibly can now. The advantage to ~768p here is that even my old 8800GTX can manage 4X SSAA in quite a few games.

I wonder why there's just one 570 SLI review out there!:?:

Maybe most reviewers could only get 1 card?

Well, yes that's obvious! If they had a second one they would try SLI I guess. The question again, reformed, is why didn't the reviewers got a second 570?

My best guess is that current CPUs would inflict too much CPU limiting on such a setup and maybe Nvidia didn't want to paint a not so flattering picture for the 570s. Still, there were 480/580 SLI reviews. :???:

nVidia doesn't usually send multiple cards IIRC. Usually it's the AIB's that do or reviewers just use two cards from different AIB's for multi-GPU tests.

    Guru3D shows terrific scaling at 4 megapixels with a 3.7GHz i7.

Naah, the scaling is working great. I've done some preliminary testing, with my CPU clocked down to stock, and even then the results are scaling @ 90-99% (AvP and Stone Giant) over the results @ overclocked speed (3.96ghz).

SLI's working great, I'll likely do a more thorough writeup this week. :) I really should get a better PSU; ... I'll do that soon enough. :p
