Funny story. I was literally google'ing to find anyone that shares my opinion on Need for Speed: Pro Street (sucks) and stumbled upon your forum and decided that from the looks of, you have a pretty decent community. So I thought I should check out the other threads and then BOOM, it drops on me from the clear blue like Bill Gate's wallet. Free HL2 !!! I've already got Counter-Strike and Team Fortress but I have never played Half-Life 2 ( exept a couple of times at a friend's place).

So if the offer is still up, I'd be more than merrier to recieve HL2 as an early Christmas gift.

I've just purchased the Orange Box @ Best Buy for $25 and have an extra copy of HL2 to gift now if anyone wants it. Highwayman, once you're able to PM (need more posts) I can give it to you if no one else has claimed it by then.

Lurked for a while, finally got an account, and now I'm reading the B3D forums more than any tech news outlet out there. The community here is one I'd very much like to be a part of.

A friend of mine bought a used copy of HL2. Surprise, surprise, he can't install it. If anyone would be willing to hook him up through me, I'd be very grateful.

Precedence for active community members is more than fair, so it's cool if there aren't any left for him. I figure if I read enough, some day I'll be able to contribute to threads, not look like a novice, and become an "active community member".

Ancient thread bump

I've just *finally* got my brother onto Steam, however he's got absolutely nothing on there. He's only played HL2 and Ep1 on my PC when he had the chance, and methinks he'd enjoy playing his own copy, perhaps with the Cinematic Mod and such on for maximum enjoyment.

I was wondering, does anyone have any spare games that they would like to gift to a worthy cause? I know my brother hasn't played Episode 2 (shock!) or Portal (gasp!), so if anyone's got one of those two that'd be bloody ace. But otherwise anything from the Half Life series would be great, as it's been a while since he touched those and I'm sure he'd love to play catch-up...

And that is how I got EP1 and EP2 + portal finally. I gave my extra copy of HL2 to my brother though.

I also purchased The Orange Box this weekend and I have a spare copy of Half-Life2. I've yet to check if anyone I know is interested but given that only a couple of friends are into PC gaming it's more than likely that I have no one to give it to and it'd be a pity if it went to waste.

Tell me about it! Pure case of bad timing. I didn't even realise the sale was happening until Tuesday when some friends of mine started complaining about 'Discount noobs' all going Pyro. We only setup his account around the same time so when I found out I was pretty bummed out.
