Getting a lot of 500 errors lately

It happens when I make a post. Since it's php I guess there is a memory problem!?
You should really get rid of the server signature as well, it's one less piece of info for a potential hacker to use!

I'd say its around 20% of the times I've posted in the last week.

This is odd, since the logs show it happening very infrequently. I'll spend some time on this today.

I've made some config changes that should help, although I can't be certain they'll conclusively fix it. Please keep me posted and I'll do my best to be a bit more responsive over the weekend to make further changes if needed.

I just had one when posting. I get the error but when I check the forum I see that my post did make it through.

Same as babel-17, it happened after I posted and the post actually made it.

I'm still randomly getting them posting from my laptop, but Forum Runner hangs after every post - even though it succeeded.

Are you running through FCGI? or FPM?

It pretty much happens every time I post. Well either it takes a really long time then the post goes through like normal, or it takes a really long time then I get the error screen but the post still goes through.

Of course it didn't happen when I posted this

Yeah, confirm what Homer just said. Board is often slow to post, and sometimes it errors (but still posts.) Edit: it's not always slow tho; this post was fast.

I've been getting a few as well today. The posts do go through.
Posting seemed slower earlier, but now it's slow and the errors come up.

But I also just noticed that forum.beyond3d.com doesn't work anymore! Instead, that triggers a search to google, which then points me to beyond3d.com.

And, indeed:
beyond3d.com -> forum
www.beyond3d.com -> regular homepage
