    Nice to see this; if any single aspect is surprising to me, it's Sony and Toshiba's seemingly more active role in what on the surface seem to be HPC-related efforts. A decent list of applications/problems they'll be tackling over the next year as well.

    Me thinks some of these areas involve real-time computing, which is Cell-friendly too (especially sensor related applications).
