Davidson is complete crap.

If McLaren were clever they'd try and sign up Rosberg as quickly as possible.

A great driver and already great friends with Lewis from the lower formulae. Then they could actually have a racing TEAM.

I say Hamilton will adapt extremely well to the 'no traction control' rule as GP2 uses no traction control. He's most probably gonna be the favourite.

Alonso to Toyota I reckon, he really doesn't want to go to Renault.

Rosberg to McLaren, I thought they announced it a while ago. At least that was my understanding.

The Singapore night race has been green-lighted as well as the rest of the provisional calendar which was presented earlier this year. The Singapore race will be very interesting. Alonso has gone on record saying he thinks it's a bad idea to race under floodlight conditions.

That amount sounds outright ridiculous, I find it hard to believe this way or the other.

Just throwing it out there. Toyota has a big budget with nothing to show for it. If they feel that what they're missing is a top tier driver who can help develop the car also, they might feel Alonso is a good fit for them and can justify a hefty price tag.

I think it's a bad idea. I only heard of Mark Webber that likes the idea. Any other drivers for night racing ?

I dont think the drivers are toyota's main problem. Somewhere along the lines they are just screwing things up big time. Its impossible that with 6 years time and the highest budget you still manage to build a car that is ''fighting'' at the back from time to time.

I wouldnt go there for a billion if I were Alonso. He'd only be spending time getting stuff organized at toyota and there is no guaranty it will work out. Rather go to a team he knows has the capabilities to give him a winning car.

The next season will be interesting no doubt - traction control will be removed, this should favor at least Kimis driving style, and Lewis should be quite comfortable with it as he drove in GP2 just last year, and there's no traction control there. However Alonso and Massa might be the opposite, according to some experts, their driving style is the exact opposite of Kimis, and removing traction control should cause their style some problems.

More over, the changes made to cars wings:
- Front wing width increased to 180 instead of 140 cm
- Front wing height decreased to 7.5 instead of 15 cm
- The middle section over a width of 40 cm has to be a standard part
- The driver may adjust the front wing flaps from the cockpit twice a lap by an angle of a maximum 6 degrees
- Rear wing width 75 instead of 100 cm
- Rear wing height 95 instead of 80 cm

and what about "freezing" engine development for at least 5 to 10 years ?!
This sounds... weird.

And it was without agreement from the teams. The FIA just said that as there has been no new concorde agreement signed, they can just do what they like.

Seems a bit silly to restrict engine development - what would the engine manufacturers care about F1 if they can only run a five year old engine design? It's another one of those stupid ideas that Mosely pushes through that all falls apart a season later because it isn't thought out (see: night racing under floodlights, a F1 race through the streets of London, customers cars, etc).

I wouldn't be surprised if it's all just politicking to get teams to sign a new agreement.
