So reviews of flagship-level GPU's all focus on "XHD" resolutions for LCD panels 24" and 30"...I'm curious how many owners of flagship-level cards (G70, R580 or newer) are using these huge LCD's...

Ive had a 24" for a few years now. It has *forced* me to upgrade video cards, and go SLI/CF many times to keep good frames at 1920x1200.

    I've got a Dell 20.1" monitor running at 1600x1200 via a GeForce 8800 GTS.

Given how crap most LCD's look when you run them out of their native resolution, I'm glad my 8800 can handle things at 1600x1200

Anything above 1280x1024 warrents a high(ish) end video card in order to get decent framerates imo.

That would be completely dependent on game.

Also, wouldn't the better question for this thread be about resolution?

BTW, I wonder whether Rys fit in the chart...

Finally upgrading to 8800 GTX for the 24" LCD I've had for a couple years already. The 1900 XT has held its own for a while, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth now.

No LCD's, just a 21" Trintron (been using these monitors for as long as I can remember..I think since I originally got my Geforce 2 GTS way back 'in the day'). I managed to get two 24" widescreen trinitrons (the FW-900's) a while ago, and they finally arrived so once widescreen gaming gets a bit more attention (not that I care) i'll be switching to those.

Been using a Sapphire x1900xt 512 since R580 was released, getting an HD2900xt in a week or so.

True, however I meant the comment in reference to games released within a year or two of the graphics card launch.

    20" LG 204WT - 1680x1050 - Gainward 8800GTS 320

Works like a dream. I was really suprised how smooth and fast things are. Pretty happy, and I was after the X1950XT but am glad I got the GTS now. Was supposed to be a temporary card until the X2900XT but I think i'll stick to the GTS now.

    24" with a not exactly flagship x1900gt.
Supposed to be temporary until R600 but just may need to wait a bit longer since I'm quite happy with its performance generally, albeit I need to keep the candy down to 8* AF & 2 or 4* AA.

Still on the fence on where to go with regards to the next gpu upgrade but the current card certainly has problems coping with 2560x1600 in many games.
