Finaly able to get a A64 (up and testing now)

Been using a 1800+ JIUHB for some time now at 2.3 gig. Just ordered a 3000+ newcasle for $172 and will be in on wen or thur. I ordered a mobo last week from newegg and can't belive what I got. Its a newegg referb but it came in a retail box with everything in it. Its a ASrock K8S8X that cost me only $29 and saved me around $40 to $50. Ill post back later on the overclock when the A64 gets here. Just found out the K8S8X has a PCI/AGP lock that works.

My system is up now and loving it. Its a A64 newcastle core with stepping CBAUC 0420. Its so much faster then the 1800+ JIUHB I had at 2.3 gig.
In 3DMark 2001, the 1800+ at 2.3 and 9800 pro at 420/710 did about 14500.
The 3000+ A64 at 2 gig and 9800pro at 380/680 did 18900.
Its at 2.2 gig now and 9800 pro at 380/680 is 19900.
The ASrock K8S8X has a working AGP/PCI lock and I have hit 245 HTT and havent found the limit yet.

retail cooler but replaced the fan with a better one.

Looks like with the Heat sink I can only get to 2.45 gig now. Temps are in the 39C idle and 47C load at 1.55 vcore.
