Serious congratulations again, I've been hearing from a lot of people at ATi who heard the news and were very happy to hear you were joining their company.

 

Congrats Dave! I may not have posted much but I always read your insightful and detailed articles and reviews.

Congrats, was nice working with you when I had the chance.. I'm really happy for you but at the same time sad for the rest of us. We wont be able to read your masterpieces quite so regularly anymore, if at all.

Beyond3D has lost an incredible editor and ATi have made the best acquisition since buying ArtX

EDIT: I cannot believe I learnt of this news first on The Inquirer and had to then check the front page to believe it was true.

It was Dave Barron. He went to 3dfx and later BitBoys after 3dfx went under.

That's why I suggested one big welcoming bash! Come on, who doesn't like a good party? Not only that, but it would be a great chance to meet interesting people for all involved. Sadly, I'm rather busy with university and proportionally poor, so I won't be of huge help in organising such an event. But if someone else out there has a moment to spare, maybe we can make something happen.

Heck, why not may it an annual event, "The B3D Club." This is as good an excuse as any.
