    Congrats Dave.

    I hope all goes well for you at ATI and I am sure I will be in touch with you once you get there.

    No wonder I've been so many ad banners here on Beyond3D saying Visit Canada.... Anyway congrats.

    Lets see, now Beyond3D has had its contributors hired by 3dfx, ImgTech, BitBoys and now ATI... hmmm looks like it would be Nvidia's turn next :)

    Canada != America.

    Congratulations Dave. As another expat in Toronto, let me know if you have any questions about your move.

    I know Kristof (where is he btw?) is with ImgTech but which staff were hired by 3dfx and BitBoys?

    BTW, am I wrong or does this mean this site is now down to Nick Evanson and Marco van Zuylen in terms of non-IHV-employed staff? I ask because of what I see in the Contacts page. I'm sure a Richard Connery is a staff since I see him doing interviews and news posts but he's not in the Contacts page! Nor does he seem to participate in the forum (or does he have a nickname here?). Of course, from Dave's post I think we can expect to see some new staff that comes from the forum community here. Maybe we can start guessing who they'd be :)

    Who's JR?

    Anyway, in my previous post, I'd congratulated Nick/Neeyik. He seems the most probable and logical choice.

    Don't worry, Nvidia already picked up 3 champs from here. It's just they forgot to tell anyone......for a while :razz:

    Well we do have better snipers then the US and at the end of WWII we had the 4th largest army on Earth and probably the best trained. Still is pretty hardcore. I hear basic training up here is similar to the special forces down south. We need it given the life or death situations our soldiers face daily, such as flying helicopters... 40 year old ones that is. :lol:

    In any case, when's the welcoming party? I live in Brampton, which isn't a huge distance away from ATI. I'd certainly like to come to discuss intellectual issues, and perhaps try to get ATI to sponsor an event for my upcoming univerisity club, the UW Demoscene Team. :wink:

    Keep me posted!

    "The Host" is a great indian buffet just up the street from ATI. Baton Rouge has outstanding ribs (corner of commerce gate and highway 7). I really miss all the great food surrounding that place :) I must have gained 25 lbs during my internship, so watch out ;)

    Congratulations Dave and Good Luck with your move to ATI!
