Nice move Dave! It sounds like a dream job and you're bound to have a lot of fun.

I'm sure you'll be in the vanguard of higher levels of technical insight for us plebs! I'm looking forwards to that - ah, just in time for R600...

Congrats Dave. Good to see technical know-how in a marketing department. Too often they're all fluff. I can only imagine how much fun this ride you've take will be.

    Best of luck!

Congratulations Dave! I hope you find much joy and happiness in your new endeavors!

And thank you for everything you've done to make Beyond3D what it is. All your contributions, your administration, and everything else have been nothing short of invalueable, and I can't thank you enough.

Have fun, and keep in touch when you can!

    Oh my, oh my ...

I am happy for Mr Baumann, but I am also sad. This ceirtanly is an end of an era.

Everything has it's end somwhere, isn't it ? Beyond 3D will change ... may it be for the worse, or to the best, it will never be the same.

    We'll miss you, Mr Baumann.

Wish you enjoy a new job at the ATi.
Hopefully next time we may hear ATi responds as 'sods off' for unannouced products

I was wondering when you were going to post this, Kyle!

Anyway, this is a strange turn of events. Obviously Dave won't be able to post as much as he used to, or even articles, as they could be construed as official policy. He'll still be around, but I hope that the guy that "replaces" Dave (if it's even possible) is even half as knowledgable.

Congrats on the new position Dave! Bring the same tenacity and level of detail you've had all these years to the position and you're sure to be a success. Best of luck!

We'll be waiting to see how many ATI reviews and banners show up in the coming months...j/k ;)

    Dave,

I'm in the same camp that doesn't post like I used to, but I still check the site out on a very regular basis. It's hard to believe that...man, it's been almost 10 years since I first posted...hard to believe so much time has passed.

In any event, it goes without saying...congrats on the new job, and best of luck. Somebody else mentioned Whistler, and I would second that call. It's all the way on the West, but if you're into skiing, it's highly recommended (usually wins best ski resort in N. America).

    Regards,
    Scott

Just read the news on another site. *note to self, must check front page more often*

Congrats Dave! I'd like to think B3D won't change, but it wouldn't be the same without you. Good luck on your new adventure, and you better continue to post here from time to time....
    Grrr.... ;-)
