ya,ya..its INQ....but...... YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.............

Yeah it was voted down by a vast majority, since the conservatives switched sides in the last moments before the vote. Anyway, good day for the open source community. But the war's yet to be won....

i know, but this is really good news..... TBH i didnt expect this outcome at all... thats why i started this topic....

IMO, this is great for small and medium size companies in EU..... those that really need to push forward cause otherwise they would be gone.... with patents up their asses they wouldnt have freedom to go beyond limits set up by US corps. and IMO thats bad..... we need small companies that will push the limits....

i have just one word WRT this -> SKYPE

There goes my idea for patenting "calls to a function or subroutine" and taking every single software company to court. Making tons of money and destroy the software industry. :p

Hmm Europe is a good idea expect for the exploding trains... I'm sure they have nice censorship laws there since strictly speaking handjob/headjob porn should be not allowed here in australia ( Shows stimulation by a non-sexual organ ) its given a rating of RC which means the sale ect is prohibited though state law dictates if its completely illegal.

WTG with the insensitive jokes there bob... While you're at it, why not crack another one about patenting your barbed wire-encircled refugree internment camps too?

THE ANCIENT art of understanding music has been patented by the software giant Microsoft.

Apparently the government has awarded Vole the rights over the big idea of "training a trainee to analyze media, such as music, in order to recognize and assess the fundamental properties of any piece of media, such as a song or a segment of a song."

OMFG!!!
whats next? patent on breathing?
