Error uninstalling physx with avg free 2011

decided to update my nvidia drivers so uninstalled the old ones
when it came to uninstalling nv physx drivers I got an error msg from installsheild that mentioned avg free 2011 (sorry cant remember the exact msg) clicked ok uninstalled then ran driver sweeper
installed the latest whql nv drivers everything went fine.
then i noticed avg wouldnt update (gave me a general error) so I decided to ditch avg and move to avast
but avg wouldnt uninstall. I had to get the avg removal tool to get rid of it

anyone using avg free about to update nv drivers ?

Running AVG is like living with a crackhead. It's really paranoid, but in the end it's the one hanging around all day messing with your stuff.

Sorry I don't have any more specific advice.
