Does your projector accept VGA (RGBHV) input ?

Is there a native resolution for your projector ?

Any kind of budget ?

What is your expectation in quality ?

For cheap ones, may be you can use TV boxes for VGA monitors.

He asked about the Xbox... ;)

That all depends on the kind of projector he use, that's why I asked.

And for PAL, there is no HDTV pack, but I suppose he can get one online, though.

If the internal rendering is the same for PAL and NTSC, then using a HDTV pack with a projector that accepts Y/Pb/Pr will do.

And most of the current projectors accept Y/Pb/Pr, the HDTV pack should do the trick.

May be I am working too much on native resolution video addon products that I forgot the most direct route.

Or my MOHAA Spearhead gun fight got all my attention.

As far as I know, PAL Xboxes will not output progressive scan if connected to a Hi-Def pack. However if the Xbox has a mod chip that can run the Xbox in NTSC mode, then it can ouput as progressive when connected to a Hi-Def pack. This of course assumes your projector has Y-Pb-Pr inputs, and can use progressive.

The alternative is to use one of the VGA boxes for the Xbox. They will output in progressive. Either the Digital-X one:
http://www.digital-x.de/knowhow/xbox/xbox_dx_vga_box/xbox_dx_vga_box.htm
or KGasper's one:

Only problems with the VGA boxes is they might not work with your projector, assuming it has VGA input, and it is not compatible with all PAL games.

Thanks for the replies. I should have been more precise, I was of course interested in getting the projector to display progressive scan. The projector supports all HDTV formats (up to 720p and 1080i). It has a DVI connector on the back, and with a VGA<->DVI connecter. I think I'll order the VGA thing.
