I remember the first screen shot released of the game running on the Unreal engine, they should have said, "That's it, we will use these graphics, punch together a heavily scripted game and release the damn thing!".

But someone thought "No, these graphics aren't satisfactory lets try to push some more, if it isn't possible with this engine then lets change the engine altogether; we'll manage a year or two of delay" and hence the legacy began.

What you talking about! That vid looks great! :D

I wanna play that game soooo bad.

Duke's always had this over the top cartoony vibe to it. ("Always" I say, the previous track record spans exactly ONE GAME lol... (No, I don't really count the old 2D platformers, heh.))

I find it hard to judge the graphics quality from a low quality video. The game play looks great though for an action based shooter. Especially the weapons are very different from your run of the mill shooter, which is exactly what made the original Duke Nukem 3D so great. :)

It's never gonna happen, ok guys? Give it up, get over it, let it go.

Life goes on, Duke doesn't. :(

Duke deserves to have another go at it. There's still lots of chick-stealing, ride-shooting alien bastards out there that needs to be killed I wager!

Someone should create a Duke Nukem Forever mod so that we can have some sublime parody to ease our frustration about the Black Mesa Source mod...

They'd be instant-sued, someone is protective of their non-existent game's rights.

    See?
Even that lawsuit process would be a hoot!
(I would really ROFL if the mod authors chose UDK...)

So according to this (I found via this), the lawsuits are settled.

So either its the final death of DNF or its back in 'when its done' status :?:
