I dont know if its MSs fault, or the developers faults, or what? I mean this game isnt much more than a tech demo, what gives? Either way, this is not a Merry Xbox Christmas.

It may be a tech demo, but it's also a full-fledged volleyball game where you.... what's that again... play volleyball ;) People are quick to denounce it because of the obvious female influence in the game and all of the extras present.
 
They probably needed the extra time to reverse engineer Beach Spiker's gameplay to add substance to their tech demo :LOL:
 
How's it a tech demo? I can understand comparisons to soft core porn, but it looks exactly like DOA3 in all respects to me.

Is the game still two-players only? I remember the creater of the game saying that it would be two players only because "It's a game meant to be enjoyed alone" ( :LOL: :rolleyes: ).

It could be a great party game to have around when the guys are over and we're all drunk enough to get a kick out of CG generated boobs, but if it's two players only... Forget it.

Does the industry really this game? Between this and that BMX thing, it's embarrasing. Extreme violence or fighting evil minon's, et al. is something that you can't do in the real world - and makes a great topic for this reason - getting girls is something that you can...
 
Well, you don't actually get the girls, but that's just splitting hairs.

I think the gameplay will actually be strong. They'll be ripping off Beach Spikers, after-all..
 
I'll get it if it's a good game. Personally, I enjoy watching anime-style girls frolic about beautiful beaches. :)

It's all going to boil down to gameplay. If this game plays well, then there's no reason why it shouldn't be made.

Next you'll be saying they should ban sexy advertisements.
 
Well, it could be due to coding difficulties (few malicious bugs or something)...

But it could also be nerves.

November 18 - Metroid Prime's release date.

If you own both a GCN and an Xbox, what would YOU rather buy? MP, or DOA-V? Be honest... (then again, my interest in DOA-V is near nil, for obvious reasons :p:LOL:)

Hah, I guess. I don't mind the actual DOA games themselves... they do have good gameplay, after all :p

Personally I don't see much point in a volleyball game in the first place, but that's just me :p
 
I was mad about this delay too. Unfortunately my Gamecube is getting the love this holiday, and not my Xbox. Matter of fact, my Xbox is being lent to my sister so she can beat Morrowind, and I don't expect to see it again for a couple months :oops:

zurich, if you got the $$$ you should look into Steel Battalion. I'm planning on getting that game, looks like it might be the best game on Xbox for me this holiday.
 
Yeah Ozy, I'm seriously considering it. I just really really really hope they'll XBL it, if not at launch, then later on. Cause there's only so much replay value a single player game can give you :(

I fully expect Gspot to evicerate Steel Battalion, but the guy at the local EB said he expects the stores to be stocked with a demo unit for people to try out (and I expect to be there, often :D).

I think that's a pretty good crop of games. :)

I will be getting Shenmue 2 tomorrow ;) got it reseved... got RalliSport Challenge and SSX Tricky (Xbox) last night :)
 
PSO Xbox comes out in Japan in January, officially, with late November on the beta I think. No release date has been set for the US version.
 
Mmm.. Shenmue II tomorrow. I hope it's as good as everybody says it is.. (based on the Euro-DC version)

I didn't know that Shenmue II came out tomorrow. I already own the DC version of course, but I haven't played it as I was waiting on the Xbox version.

Too bad I can't get it tomorrow. I mean, I could, but I already prepaid PSO and bought a broadband adapter, and I need to get my home theater system this weekend, so my gf would likely kill me if I tried to buy another game as well :LOL:
