From wht I've seen the post processing changes are most immediately obvious in the stadium ("super special" in WRC terms) stages as you have all the stadium point lighting around you and the reflections off the cars look fantastic. I'm not sure why they didn't use a stadium section for one of the demos.

This driver was definitely way too much curious about the tessellated audience thing.

LoL, that was too funny. Too bad this is a racing game and there's no crowd response or movement. :) Would be awesome to see people running away in panic/fear. :D Then again, that would prompt people to treat it as sort of a poor mans carmageddon. :p

Triplets even. A simple algorithm to prevent that really wouldn't have been difficult to include would it? It goes to show that they didn't really care about duplicates as you'll be driving past them at high speed anyway.... the same applies for the tessellation?

Well that's not even the biggest problem. Why aren't they paying attention to the buggy that's about to land on their heads?

Physx seems to make prettier flags than tesselation

PhysX would also have you believe that it's required for good fog according to Batman.

Yet plenty of games do just fine having excellant fog/debris/dust storms without it. MW2 just recently was an excellant example...

And tesselated flags will eventually run on far more hardware than PhysX flags if Nvidia ever gets its business in order, which trumps PhysX anyday of the week.

Bad, stressful day for me, must have missed it, think today I'm going to be "too serious" as my significant other likes to say when I'm going through one these days. :p

    Lol

One thing I've noticed, the water looks nice even in DX9 mode. Even though the ripples aren't real geometry it looks damn convincing unless you look very closely.

The game performs better than the first one while looking slightly better to boot. Good stuff from one of my favorite devs

I'm annoyed at myself for not being better at this game yet...

The DX11 verses DX 9 debate aside. Has anyone actually looked at its DX10 support? This is what Tim Sweeny said about it.

DX10 == DX11 for this game. Sorry bro, but I think NV and ATi are even -- for the time being, each one got its "own" API to play with it, sort of. :D

What I am asking is has anyone actually shown the DX11/DX10 path on a DirectX10 card. Either it doesn't exist or it does. If it does . I think its a pretty fair question. ;)

Well does it really matter if all the DX11 features aren't available on DX10 hardware? It looks like they're using tessellation and CS5.0, neither of which are available on DX10 anyway. There's no mention of anything that uses features common to DX10 and 11.

K I wasn't sure if the game was using compute shader 4.0 or just 5.0.

Is there in game AA? If so it's possible Dx10.1 and maybe Dx10.0 could take advantage of Dx11 mode AA.
