Crossplay

I thinks this is the first, if not at least one of the first crossplay AAA games.

Fatemakers unite! We're thrilled to confirm that when Tiny Tina's Wonderlands launches on March 25, you can band together in online multiplayer for chaotic great crossplay between PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store!

Crossplay between the aforementioned platforms is made possible by SHiFT Matchmaking, and you'll be greeted by an opt-in window when you first boot up Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Only reason I "need" crossplay, is because my cousin insists on Xbox instead of PS

Rocket League has it across all platforms, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. I know it didn't start as AAA but it's reach far exceeds most AAA games now.

Outriders also has crossplay across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and The Epic Games Store. Seems like only the Stadia version did not have crossplay, but was said it would have it later. Not sure if later ever happened for Stadia.

Well it was not the first or one of the first even As a Console Master Race guy, I do not care if its not latest console gen, but still nice list, hope it keeps on increasing.

I was surprised at just how many were out there. I thought many were just the partial cross-play. So I started with titles I played that might have gone full crossplay. I am glad to be pleasantly surprised by this. Looking forward to a time when everything is crossplay, at the gamers desire.

First? Final Fantasy XI was PS2/PC cross compatible, and later 360. Shadowrun was 360/PC compatible. And that doesn't count stuff like Dreamcast's port of Quake 3 being network compatible with PC.

this is something I've been hoping to happen in ALL games for some time ago. It's like the future in the sense of being one of the next big things. Primarily now where we are transitioning on an ecosystem agnostic future. People are going to have so many choices, from consoles, to PCs, handhelds, handheld PCs, cloud, etc etc, and crossplay is perfect to integrate all of those possible consumer's choices.
