A LA based vfx studio is currently looking for a Comp Supervisor to join its busy team.
COMPOSITING SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensuring the highest creative and technical standards of compositing, whether features or commercials.
• Overseeing the workflow and organization of projects.
• Consulting with clients on artistic needs.
• Advising on budgeting and scheduling and ensuring projects are staffed properly.
• Communicating the progress of work to Production.
• Continuing to develop understanding of software toolsets and capabilities.
• Continuing to gain experience in design capabilities and VFX compositing.
• Researching techniques and methodologies.
• Collaborating in defining the studio structure.
• Helping determine future hardware and software purchases for the studio.
• Helping to train compositing staff.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong working knowledge of NUKE and other 2D/3D software packages.
• Minimum of 6 years of artist experience and minimum of 2 years of Lead experience in feature film or commercials VFX required.
• On set supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of the entire post-production process relating to visual effects.
• Experience working with outsourcing vendors.
• Experience working within a Linux base software tools.
