Hmmm 9500pro playabale at 800x600 and medium, there goes my dream running 1280x960 on my 9600XT :? 800x600 might look as good as 1280x960 in D3, but my LCD thinks otherwise

9700 Pro very closely equals 9800NP, which is basically a 9800 Pro clocked at 325/290. [H] probably has a 9700 Pro (I'd be surprised if they didn't), just thought I'd throw that out there as I know a lot of people would be interested in 9700 Pro Doom3 results.

Pffft! I feel like Kyle more than kept up with his end of the deal and I'm very happy with the results. :)

Yes, I have a few 9700s. Some times in life you just have to pick and choose what you want as you can't have it all. This was one of those times and time was not on our side.

That's the 9500NP, the Pro cards only ever had 128-bit memory.

Sorry for not reading the entire thread (not enough time for that), but I have a question.

Did you guys try to rename the executable to see if anything happens? I know this seems a bit low in faith, but Doom3 IS a major selling point for both of the companies.

I'm actually surprised that this renaming suggestion took so long to surface.

Well, why to bother if JC already has confirmed that NVidia has some hand tuned stuff in their drivers for Doom3?

not every engine renders everything in the same way as others do, so for me the fact that nVIDIA might tune their drivers to take advantage of the things that are being done within the game, as long (this has been said, what, zibillions of times?) as it doesn´t affect IQ in a negative way, is potencially a good thing, not a bad thing...

... why would anyone hope they had a 5800 in the first place? :p

but hey, that indicates that Doom 3 loves the memory bandwidth.
