Read this interesting article. It about viruses that force computers to visit child porn sites and download the material. Because of the strong tendency to presume guilt in cases of child porn, it's probably one of the easiest and safest ways of utterly destroying the lives of people you don't like. Still, I wonder how widespread this sort of thing is, and if it will get worse or not. It probably won't affect me though, because I'm virtually never let other people use my computers or leave them unattended. Apparently, this is a justifiable paranoia.

Wow, and I can't think of any reason why such a virus wouldn't work either. Scary stuff, makes getting infected by a virus a whole lot more terrifying.

Beh, this sounds rather like it is developed exactly as plausible deniability for child porn fans everywhere.

I suppose it's more effective than the Chewbacca defense.

*shrugs* not sure why people didn't see this sort of thing coming with eg. HTML e-mail.

Next time you get all up-tight about the mere thought of kiddie pr0n and hit the "HELL YEAH PLUG THE NONCES INTO THE MAINS!!!" button for your law-makers, think about the consequences of over-trigger-happiness.
