I've been looking around at TV prices.
Mostly at larger rear projected TVs. Say 40", 50", etc.

Anyway. I found what looks to be an awesome deal that some of you guys might be able to take advntage of (I can't, not in the US).

50" 1920x1080 sony bravia rear projection DLP, free shipping, $1699. (?!)

Holy buggery batman. This thing costs $US 4000 here. Damn it!

Then again, Sony is nice, but very expensive. If you want good but cheap, Samsung is great. And if you want the best, go Pioneer. They should be about as expensive as Sony, but better.

Well when it's nearly 3x less than what I'd pay here I think it's cheap :p

I don't know what US prices are normally, but 30% off seemed a good deal :)

The direct view LCDs are getting really cheap. I think you can probably get a 50" Full HD Sharp LCD for around $1900 in a few months. The 42" Full HD Sharp LCDs are already $1500 at some places. You can get the lessor known brands like Westinghouse/Olevia for even cheaper.
