Huge bug fix for Crysis 2 included.
The new drivers delete it...bug fixed... :)

But really, the 11.4s are out.

These are a superset of the at 11.4 preview drivers as well, IIRC, so I would recommend the preview users taking these as well.

Fixed the FF gpu useage bug? That'd be nice, but the MLAA bug is back with FF...

Thanx, I was wondering if these contain the optimizations from the 11.4 previewset.

Now, if they ever bring forced (SS)AA to Crysis2 and and Risen I would be even more happy ;)

I don't have MLAA turned on, never did.

    This is without acceleration

I think he forgot the MLAA doesn't do screenshots. ;)

It's there Mize, trust me. With MLAA enabled it looks blurry, just run one of those screenshots through the MLAA screenshot tool to see what it looks like.

Any chance that might be because there was a first unread post in one case, and not in the other?

Guys, that's because of DirectWrite. IE9 and Chrome will look the same (when it gets 2D acceleration). It's MS's new accelerated text rendering API, it tries to bring more accurate kerning to the table so some fonts look a little blurrier than before but have the advantage of being more accurate relative to their design intent.

It's still sporadic in quality though, apparently MS have been rolling out regular font updates to fix these corner cases but there's still work to do.

The Steam update tool either isn't detecting my current drivers (11.4 preview) as being older than the new release, or it's not aware that 11.4 release version is available. In either case, this thing needs to be fixed, because it regularly wonks out and says drivers are up to date when they in reality aren't.

It might just as well not exist at all, because it's such a crapshoot wether it lets me update drivers through it or not. It's only worked properly a haldful of times that I've tried to use it, and instead I have to update the oldfashioned way by downloading and running the installer manually.

Always worked fine for me, usually I have to wait a couple days after release to get it to notice there are new drivers, that's all.
It's not like I need new drivers either as everything is working fine already...
