Buying a solar kit

Looking how cheap solar has become recently (3kw solar 2010 nz$40,000 -> 2017 nz$10,000)
Ideally I would install some panels on my roof and use that, but I always rent (we move about a lot) what are my options?
How easy is it to buy a 200watt panel, stick it in my front yard, connect it to a battery in my house with a standard 230v outlet so I can plug stuff in.
I need converters etc I assume.

What is the easiest setup? Any links

Have you looked into it 200watt may be the maximum under ideal conditions do you know what wattage you can expect on average
given the climate where you live are you buying a tracking or non tracking panel ?

@Davros, I don't care, thats not what this is about
though FWIW http://www.mitsubishi-electric.co.nz/solar/generate.aspx Im in the place that scores highest here, so based on that 200watt panel = 259kw/hr, last month I used 336kw/hr so it wont even be a single month.

This is more of a pursuit of interest, like how I brew beer or record music etc
