Broadwell E on the way - 10 cores hit the desktop

    I wish I could afford one... I have no idea what I need 10 cores for but I want one. I wish they had the pci-e lanes for these as well I am curious how many the cheapest one has.

    Questionable choices! JC3 looks good but I never could finish JC2 - even though I enjoyed what I did play of it.

    .. hopefully they will release 10 core Skylakes sometime in future.

    And here I am hoping I'll find a 2nd-hand 10-core Xeon 2690 V2 for cheap in a couple of years, for my X79.

    wow that is very tempting . It reminds me of the q6600 the first affordable 4 core cpu from intel. That chip lasted me a long long time for gaming. I guess it depends on the wait between this and skywell . If skywell is early 2017 and this is mid 2016 it might be worth waiting. It doesn't seem like AMD will be able to compete with intel now that they've turned up the heat.
