I think we need a few more sticky threads or mabye even a folding forum. That was we can set up the info in easy to find places instead of wading through a 44 page thread. What do u guys think ? If needed to i will mod that too . I doubt it would really need a mod though haha . we are actually good here .

yea i was thinking have the genral thread , the setup and tweaking thread . But a forum would be really good so we can discuss what hardware is the best bang for the buck. Mention good sales for cheap parts to keep our production going up. That kinda stuff . Anyway its 6 am i need to sleep for 2 hours if i'm dinking tonight.

Well, I've felt we've needed our own forum since about page 29 <g>. All the reasons you guys mention, plus one more: it will give us greater visibility to potential recruits passing by on their way to the other forums.

Good grief, we're at #110. For those of you keeping track, we cracked the top #200 less than three weeks ago.

Spent 6 hours on it yesterday (I damn thee, Microsoft --the hardware was done in an hour), but all the P3 933 stuff is now in my wife's machine and cranking away --including FAH. Her relatively new harddrive went (on DiskSpeed32) from 16MB/s to 50MB/s. Gotta love that.

My computers are having some security issues, nothing related to folding but it is affecting the performance. Hope to solve it soon.

Probably we will be TOP 100 in one week 8)

I'm all for a separate folding forum. It would make it alot easier to find stuff. Just added a spare PIII 933 to the fold, it was sitting under a desk doing nothing!

Legion its on the first page of this. You have to type in the team number which i believe is 32377 . The work you have done wont carry over to this team. So if you want u can start a new name when you switch over to this team.

    I just replaced my 2.4Ghz with a P4 3.06GHz with hyperthreading.
I have enabled Hyperthreading in BIOS.

Shouldn't I see two processors in taskmanager?
    My motherboard is ASUS P4T533-C and I Multiboots between Win2000 Pro(gaming) and Win2000 Server(Working)
I only see one processor in both.

I Would like to start 2 instances of F&H later to get more points :)

iNfAN - I've got a feeling HT only works on WinXP Pro - but maybe worth double checking.

    wow - we're nearly on 100,000 points - well done team! :D

VAPOCHILL team have been slacking a little recently ...

We'll be in the top 100 in the next few days - maybe we can get the new F@H forum thing sorted as a celebration ?

*edit* - More HT info here http://www.devhood.com/messages/message_view-2.aspx?thread_id=85921

Thanks for the info (gonna read doc file later, no ms word installed)
I had HT disabled when i installed sp4, and now have it enabled.. so i have kinda done what it says.
But it feels a bit like you says, that Win2K isn't optimized for hyperthreading anyway.

XP Home supports MT as well. I get the side-by-side processors in task manager on my 2.4C and XP Home.
