Heh...you are actually the very last person that I expected to pass. (though we'll probably be trading spots for a couple days). Unless I get some more CPU power, or those in front of us start dropping it, I think I'll be in 7th place for a while...

...until Hyp-X passes us all!

The 2.4C is in and running at 2.881 (yeah, couldn't resist an immediate overclock --oh well). Doesn't look like it will make 3.0 however (doesn't even make the bios on boot), without employing the dark arts --which I probably won't do. At a 20% overclock it is running 3 degrees cooler while folding than the P3 933 did (49C vs 52C).

My output has been for the past three weeks dropping so I'm expecting everyone to start overtaking me. It was nice to be in 4th position several weeks ago.

Hyp-X is doing a stellar job, and it will be interesting to watch the battle between Hyp-X and SurfMonkey in around about a week's time.

Ah! I don't think there will be much of a battle. My output is declining as I switch more machines over to doing *real* work :(

What I'd like to do is get all my beasts running (that's 153 machines) but I'd probably get fired!!

So I think I will be resigning from the top spot in a couple of weeks, it's been fun being up there... I think ;)

Not the whole, there are still some machines that aren't involved. ;)
Btw, it's quite good that F@H, doesn't slow down the machine at all so it has no impact on our work.

    Thanks.

RussS seems to have found dark energy :D ....suddenly accelerating! My output may drop in coming days! :(

Com'on team, keep folding, even if you fold only a few hours a day, it would be great!

    Just a general note:

I counted up (not sure if there's a stats page that specifically does this...) and we've moved into the top 50 weekly producers! Specifically, our current weekly total is good enough to net us 49th place for the week.

Congrats everyone! (And it shows how far we can expect to move up in the rankings...and that's without continuing to get more members all the time...)

The answer to this might be buried somewhere in the last 39 pages, but here goes:
What do we know about the folding speed of different CPUs? For example, P4 vs Barton vs T-bird vs P3 and so forth. Every time the program starts it seems to benchmark the machine, so some performance figures should be easily obtainable. I do not however know
    a) how accurate the benchmark is
    b) whether it is affected by the CPU Usage Percent slider
(b is easily testable, but I haven't done it yet.)

Has this already been discussed, or is it time for a decadent benchmark orgy?

(Totally unrelated personal information: Thanks to the comic Asterix and a young and impressionable mind, I always mentally connect "orgy" with excessive use of cheese. I know that other people do the same!)

XP is definitely (20-30%) faster than a same speed P4, I have seen it myself!
