i dont want to sound alarmist but folding at 100% all the time can cause damage to some systems .. ;0)

    Why I lost one WU....

"You can't move a F@H wu to another machine to be processed unless you also export the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PandeGroup registry key also.
This key contains the User ID# that Stanfords server issued that wu to and as soon as you started processing the wu on a different machine with a different User ID# it didn't match up so it deleted the wu. This is expected behavior. "

shit gollum you passed me! Well I have three WUs coming in this night if everything goes as planned.. should be abel to pass you again :) and the deal for the 50 celerys with my teacher fell through, I thought it would anyway :p I showed her the website and stuff and tried to explain how folding was helpng to find cures for many illnesses ect. ect. But I didn't really have the knowledge to explain it to her properly :( And whats this about gromac WUs??? How do I tell the client to only fold gromac? I had core78 but for some reason after I uled my last WU it switched back to 65 :( And what exactly is the diffrence between the two anyway?

OK! I will try to explain! There are three types of WUs and hence Cores...

Gromac and Tinkers for Folding and another for Genome!
Gromacs are more complicated but take less time to process than Tinkers bec'se they support SSE/3DNow whereas Tinkers don't.....hence Gromacs award you lot more points than Tinkers....

Core78 is Gromac and 65 is Tinker....and ca is Genome(?)...
There is no 100% sure method of ensuring that you receive only Gromacs! Though I have been receiving only Gromacs since few weeks! :D

The only thing you can do is....copy a shortcut of FAH client in your Start UP....right click it -> properties -> in target add -advmethods -forceasm (after quotes).....and hope for the best....I would suggest not to put -forceasm flag for Athlon XP CPUs as forcing SSE might create few stabalization problems!

BTW, see our past posts for more info!

....does that mean you did not get any points though no of WUs increased???

BTW, notAFanB...what kind of WUs you are processing?? only 4 points for 7 WUs  ....must be genome WUs....hey process only Gromacs!

Welcome to the club Deepak, makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, don't it? :D

Panda: I knew my comeback was only gonna be temporary, you just to have way too much processing power for me to compete with you much longer, what kind of comps do you have anyway? My finger is already hovering over that order button for a new secondary system, its only my conscience saying "bad boy, you bought yourself way too many toys already lately" that's keeping me from pressing it... :x
