Hi all,

As you may or may not know I'm currently a student and working on projects, one of the project that we have been working on we have decided to self publish as a episodic game. what i would like from my fellow b3d'ers are the two following things:

1) please run our benchmark, it currently in a Prue-beta state with the textures waiting to signed off but we would like some feed back on how the benchmark maps performs.

2) would you like to appear in a video game? if you would then all we need from are the following:

a. what makes you famous/infamous in our game would, can be anything just please try to avoid the normal social taboos.

b. where in our game world you would live, again anywhere is fine.

c. what do you do for kicks, here be a silly as you want in fact silly is better!

well thank you for your time and feel free to pm me or post any feedback you have our web site will go live at the end of march/beginning of April

I'm getting between 68FPS when looking at the whole room with all desks and stuff to 250FPS in other areas.
HD5870 @700/900 utilized in 48% (CPU limited engine;))

Other than that works fine in W7 x64

Currently a lot of users are downloading files. Please try again in 2 minutes or become a Premium member

Edit: And after 2 minutes:

Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later.

Works fine on Windows 7 x64 here as well.

Seems to be fast, however I don't have anything to measure the actual performance.

thanks everybody so far! sorry to hear that homerdog, does any body know of any other good file hosts or i have a build that runs in a web browser if some one knows a good free web host?

deeFive, you could try fileden.com or hotshare.com or megaupload.com (NSFW, porn ads iirc)

Why can't you just put up a torrent or something? I mean using torrents legitimately seems like a nice idea :)

Do you have a link to a description of the game environment?

Could also give Mediafire a try for hosting files, it doesn't have a countdown, captcha or limits for free users unlike the other filesharing services.

Torrents is another idea also.

SB

Finally got it to download through RapidShare.

Standing in a corner looking out across the whole room I get 60FPS on the dot (no vsync).

GTX260, E6750@3.2GHz, 1440x900, Graphics quality set to Fantastic. This is obviously CPU limited as I get exact same performance with 16xQ MSAA forced in the NVCP.

Good luck with this deeFive, and keep us updated.

BTW, what kind of game is this going to be?

thanks homerdog!

its going to be a "modern western" 3rd and 1st person episodic adventure i cant say too much just now as we have a group meeting next week to finalize all of the story details but think way of the gun as game

I got it downloaded, and I ran it, but I don't have fraps, and I was unsure how to exit it. ESC did nothing. I just ended the process.

Here are some numbers from the lower end of the spectrum.
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700
Core2 Duo
640x480 lowest quality 30 fps and up
1440x900 highest quality 20 fps up to 120 when looking down at the floor.

Movement is ok, as smooth as it gets on 30 fps, not choppy but there are a couple of things I dislike about the movement.
1. The mouse controls are _way_ too sensitive.
2. The keyboard filter makes the movement feel a bit sluggish.

Movement feels good for me, except that it takes just a bit too long to stop after you release a key, and as rendezvous pointed out the mouse is waaay too sensitive.

thanks again the controls are only placeholders for now but i will keep in mind that i need lower the sensitivity.

I have to say that I found the mouse movement to be fine. I would not want it slower myself (hence a slider). I ran at 1680*1050 and "fantastic" and full screen.

I have a 8800GT and an athlon phenom X3 @ 2.8GHz. I need to get the FPS though still.
