    ------------------------

Well, with DICE/EA about to show BF:BC off next week at GDC, who has seen the HD Trailer(linked at GamersHell)? Also, I though Crysis was an awesome looking game, if Dice can pull Frostbite and BF:BC off looking the same as in the trailer, well then I think the Next-Gen Games is gonna be awesome.

I can't wait to see what they will show at GDC on the R600.

    Your thoughts.

I think it will be an excellent session! But I might be a bit biased :)

Will this be consoles only? :(

Because it looks awesome and I want to play it. I bet my GF8 GTX could run that..

Heh, wouldn't it be ironic if DICE focuses on consoles now after making their name as PC devs.

So, I'll be able to destroy walls with my attached grenade launcher?
Wow, that's really cool, because currently in BF2 you won't even kill an enemy soldier if he stands more than half meter away from the place of impact.

I'm pretty sure this will be on PC's too since ATI will be demonstrating this using a R600 later today.

Don't you just love it how games look worse and worse the closer they come to release?

GRAW, ET : QW, ST : Legacy, and now this (there are countless others of course...and half of them claim they never touched up their images. Yeah right). Textures do look good, but it looks so damn ugly, no AA, apparently no AF that I can see. Horrid DoF, bright colouring (ugly-bright). Shadows look nice, and are those particle effects actual particle effects? (ie; not something like CoD's textured/layered smoke effects...even though they weren't that bad). Because they look nice

I'm in the same boat. I don't see this game as looking worse than the previous trailer. That first shot rivals things i've seen in crysis. Very nice, a little jaggy, but that's ok.

Yes those screenshots are from a build that didn't have any AA enabled so are a bit jaggy.

The GDC presentation is available on ATI tech paper site

The 2nd shot with something blowing the wall of the building apart looks interesting. Will we see destructable terrain in game?

I am not holding my breath considering how terrible BF2 turned out. Even though the recently released Desert Combat mod has me playing it for the first time since 4 days after release.

Here is a direct link: Frostbite Rendering Architecture and Real-time Procedural Shading & Texturing Techniques

One of the big new things with BFBC is that we have a "proper" single-player for the first time as well as multiplayer. Which equals AI.

So you saying that you guys(DICE) are not doing a PC version? That's dissapointing since there have been rumours that BFBC would run on the R600 and that PDF shows that the game will run on DX9 hardware too. I don't care about XBox360 or the PS3... i'm asking PC here.
