I don't know if anyone else knows of this site, it's something of a somewhat dodgy version of somethingawful.com, in a way. Basically a collection of forums allowing users to post images (although lightly moderated). Every so often I'd visit it to browse the 'fun images' section which basically was a collection of the most random and often times spectacuarly stupid images found around the web (here is one I found on archive.org that works). It was good for a chuckle every so often.
Anywho. today:
Either this is legit, or it's a publicity stunt. But given the site was down a week ago, I'm inclined to believe it.
Yes, the forums also had a porn section, and also had a section for those with a taste for more disgusting side of human nature, but nothing blatantly illegal from what I knew, and all of it was publically avaliable stuff (ie, pulled from around the web).
sure, I found some of the other parts quite revolting, however that said a number of people I know did find this sort of thing really halarious (you know, 'funny' disfigurment, etc).
The point is though, this was a site catering to a slightly darker segment of the rather diverse world of internet users.
Now, the creators are terrorists.
The world has gone bloody well insane.
