Augmented reality and pinhole displays

    This is pretty interesting.

    Sounds a lot like what Basic suggested eons ago, except he wanted to use it to reproduce a lightfield, whereas this makes clever use of the iris together with the point light distance to segment the LCD into non-aliased areas (ie. only 1 point light source is visible through each segment of the LCD) to reproduce a focus free 2D image. AFAICS it will only work when you're focusing near infinity though.
