A while back when Microsoft announced SiS (one of the few supporters of Rambus on the PC platform) was designing the chipset for X-Box 2, I started looking up information on Samsungs SoC process called Fusion Memory. I came across an intresting PDF on Rambus and Fusion Memory. It contains lots of charts showing off the power consumtion difference between Rambus and GDDR-3. Low power consumtion is important obviously for a SoC design and Rambus looks to have a nice advantage in this area.



So anyone intresting in SoC, I think this pdf is a fun read.
