I have a device that takes HDMI input, but doesn't seem to send EDID or do any handshaking, and I want to output from my 4870 and future Evergreen to it, but CCC and Windows won't let me. I saw evidence of another person doing the exact same thing I'm trying to do in Vista, but I haven't found a way to get it working in Win7, no matter what driver/CCC version I use. Is there a hidden way or 3rd party app I can use to force DVI output, regardless of what is detected on the other end?
I just want to be able to extend or clone my desktop to the other device, but Win7 and CCC seem to think that nothing's even connected.
