Any programs that use a Thinkpad Accelerometer as a force meter?

I've found lots of suppositions that the accelerometer could be used for this, but no actual programs exploiting it. Anyone know of any?

Cool, too bad there's no windows version, doesn't seem like the implementation needs to be limited to linux.
Unfortunately my knowledge of Linux is very limited, could anyone give me some idea of how to set this up? Would it be as simple as installing some distro (would any work?) then downloading and double clicking on this file?

If you know of any Mac OSX versions that'd be cool too, I don't own a mac but I could probably borrow one and Macs generally seem simpler to use. Not to mention that the mac would already have the correct OS installed.
