Amiga A500 Mini

Not quite sure what sub-forum to put this in, but this one seems as good as any.

As far as "toys" go that indulge in nostalgia for us older gamers, this one is particularly well done with a mouse and controller that's usable on PC's as well as the Amiga Mini. Bonus for being able to play any Amiga game via the USB port.

For people that didn't game on an A500 (or any Amiga) at the time, it was an amazing device for gaming when compared to other gaming devices of the time (like the NES or late 80's PCs) with graphics and sound far in advance of anything else. The Apple IIGS had roughly similar capabilities but wasn't as performant WRT graphics and didn't get nearly as much support as the Amiga 500.

We can only dream about what might exist if Commodore had managed to survive and not F'd things up. :p

Atari ST 520, upgraded it with double sided drive, then with extra RAM, then it died and I got a 1040STfm, then an Amiga 600HD and even a Falcon with CD drive and a small attempt at learning to code that 56001 DSP it had (too hard for me back then). Then came a proper PC and not long after the first PlayStation.

Amiga was a great machine. Lots of viruses though …
