AMD socket939 and next generation graphics parts

Is 4600+ the fastest CPU ever to come for sockect939 (except the FX line) and would it be fine for the next generation games and graphics cards? It would save me a lot of money instead of going for Core Duo 2.

The 4800+ (2.4GHz) is the fastest dual core S939 chip - I would say that it should be more than good enough for a few years to come.

yeah the 4600+ would be fine, but the shiny new Core 2 would be a lot nicer...mainly because of the shiny newness factor
