14th May 2007. Remember that day, graphics fans, since it's the day R600 finally got to say hello to the world, after a hard pregnacy and protracted labour. She blinks her eyes and smiles now, along with RV610 and RV630 siblings, as AMD's first D3D10 programmable parts. We've spent decent time analysing the architecture with Radeon HD 2900 XT, and it's the fruits of those endeavours that we publish here, as our Architecture and GPU Analysis, the first in our analysis series.

So, are we gonna get an update to this review? Add a few games in there, new cat. 7.5 drivers, maybe some DX10 loving add to the article etc.?

I see some B3D staff have the new GPU so it shouldn't be a hassle? Or is the article done(won't be changed)?

That's the plan, but not as updates to the original, but discrete pieces on their own. I've got Computex to get out of the way this week, then I can get stuck back in to R600 with the latest games, drivers and what have you.

You do that Mr. Ryszard...we`re all anxiously waiting for your dissection of the late and seemingly underperforming beast. Maybe some new drivers will come along as well.

As part of the coverage I mentioned upstream. G80 data will be in there.

Glad to hear it. Was wondering what was going on it has been quite some time since the R600 was released and B3D is pretty much the only site to yet publish any kinds of gaming numbers. I hope you can get the most recent drivers for ATU for it.
